ParksWatch receives no core funding
from government sources. We rely on support from charitable organizations
and individuals like you to continue documenting threats to protected
areas internationally and identify the most effective ways to abate
them and address the pervasive problem of paper
parks.
By donating to ParksWatch, you
are supporting the conservation of protected areas across the entire
Latin American continent - from Baja California to Tierra del Fuego
- harboring some of the richest and most threatened ecosystems on the
planet. Your gift goes directly towards park evaluations and networking
activities, which seek to ensure the wisest use of the modest resources
available for conservation worldwide.
Through Duke University’s
Center for Tropical Conservation, ParksWatch has public charity, nontaxable,
501(c)(3) status in the United States. ParksWatch is a very cost efficient
organization, which invests more than 80% of all its expenses directly
in its conservation mission.
