ParksWatch can be described as something akin to Amnesty International for protected areas. Through partnerships with in-country conservation organizations and individuals, ParksWatch sponsors on-site evaluations of parks. Our primary product is a Park Profile, which compiles and synthesizes the substantial amount of information gathered from a comprehensive literature review and a thorough on-site evaluation.

We thus provide an essential service that can inform park administrations and the conservation community at large of the successes and failures of conservation programs, and draw attention to problems wherever and whenever they occur.
